works for my purpose

I bought it because when I'm out in my kayak I need to have a hood so I can pull it over my head-mounted video camera to prevent salt getting all over the lens. If I need to film, I quickly push the hood back first. Forgetting to do that does not make for good footage. The fabric is pretty heavy for summer but I kayaked for four hours in it the other day and stayed cool enough. The long sleeves also protect my forearms from the sun. I did not find the thumb loops very accessible, not that I'd use them in the kayak.. Loved the flashes of hot pink colour.Great fit. I'm 71 but my son told me I looked "styly" in it.
